I can teach all levels of students starting from kindergarten to adults but the most experience I have is teaching students which are fluent in English.
I’m looking for a part-time arrangements, something about 10 hours per week.
Full time deals might be interesting only after evaluation period of 1 month.
FLEXIBILITY
My typical arrangements doesn’t require any strict following to a school curriculum.
Normally I regularly skim textbooks and notebooks of students, pick an interesting topic from these texts and ask students a questions to evaluate the level of their understanding of the topic.
If they understand I can add more details. If they don’t I would try to explain.
Usually I’m focused mostly on improving speaking skills of students. I correct grammar mistakes but most of that kind of teaching supposed to be done first by other teachers. My major game is to correct and develop what students already know.
It would be much better if I gonna be not the only one teacher of students. For example if a students come to study every day for 2 hours part time then a Khmer teacher would teach the first hour, and I would teach the second one.
A Khmer teacher should follow school curriculum. But following school curriculum by me would be more flexible. I review, test and evaluate the level of understanding of the curriculum topics, correct typical mistakes and develop students knowledge of topics students already know.
The best way to assist me is to provide 5 textbooks for each class. 1 textbook is the one students currently studying. 2 textbooks of 2 previous years of the course and 2 textbooks of the next 2 years. It’s up to me what topic to choose at every lesson – I don’t need a lesson’s plan for each day.
HOMEWORK
Usually I don’t give a homework to students (Khmer teacher would give enough of that) and if I do I check it during the lessons. Normally I check homeworks of 2 or 3 students and if a see any typical mistakes I ask the whole class to correct it.
So I write a wrong sentence on the white board and ask students to correct a mistake.
Students of a part-time classes normally overloaded with government school program. Morning – 4 hours. lunch time – 1 hour part time class of math or physics . Afternoon – 4 hours. Then 3 hours of homework. So if they come to study English for 2 hours they are just don’t have time to do homework of English classes.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
I love to be a substitute teacher. I know the majority of teachers would not love when they asked to switch classes. For me personally I enjoy every opportunity to change.
So if you want me to teach any class all you need to do is to point to a classroom. No need to explain me anything. I love winging when I play guitar or piano. The same way I can improvise starting any class without any preparation.

I love teaching different topics like popular science. So students during my classes can learn something useful besides English.

MISCELLANEOUS
I was teaching 50 students class in Cambodia for 2 months 1 hour a day and have had a lot of experience of speaking before a big audience.
I like to play games with students but now I do it only if I feel students overloaded with studying and need some break. All the games I play is always related to studying English.
I don’t do any extra curriculum activity unless it’s paid and negotiated first. I have way too much my own projects I’m running for free.
